We are looking for an independent, intelligent, and adventurous writer who can explore the sights and sounds of the Ventura County area.

About our company- myunitedstates.us is a network of websites from around the country that give visitors localized information for hotels, restaurants, and tourist attractions in cities around the country. http://www.mylosangelesca.us covers the entire Los Angeles area, including Orange, San Bernadino, and Ventura Counties. We are looking for a writer who can focus on the Ventura County region.

Assignment would be part time with a set amount of articles to write. Topics will change every few weeks, and will range from local political issues to restaurant reviews. Payment based on experience and is per word. Telecommuting is ok. You would be expected to come in to the office at least once a month.

Applicants should have at least 2 years experience in online blogging and writing. Experience with Microsoft Office products and online content management systems is very important.
